a tampon should work fine, 14 year olds can definitely buy tampons in the UK so don't worry about that, and try not to be embarrassed cause it's natural. Also tampons are not difficult to use, if you're feeling unsure there will be an instruction leaflet in the box. i would recomend a tampon with an applicator as they are easier to use- maybe tampax. If you're really not happy, say you're not feeling well and bail on the baseball game.
